If you choose to provide an email address, it is never displayed publicly and is only visible to the site admin — it's stored separately from your comment specifically so it stays private.

The site records a basic view count for each blog post so the admin can see which writing gets read. This is an aggregate number only — it isn't tied to your identity and isn't visible to other visitors.
